Sam's Services

Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 January 2026

1. About us

These terms govern your use of Sam's Services (“we”, “us”, “I”). I’m Samuel, a mechanical engineer and mobile vehicle specialist based in Northampton / Kettering, UK. I offer on-call and booked-slot repairs, vehicle diagnostics, MOT handling, car washing, pre-purchase inspections, and small home and garden repairs.

By booking a job you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

2. Booking & quotes

All quotes are provided in writing (email or messaging) before any work begins. A quote is valid for 14 days from the date it was issued unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Standard rate is £18/hour. House visits start at a £99 minimum depending on the time on site, job complexity, and distance from my HQ. Final pricing depends on parts, time, and travel; you will always receive an updated quote before any additional work is carried out.

3. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the job unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Accepted methods are bank transfer, cash on the day, or another method agreed up front.

Invoices are issued on request. Late payment may incur additional charges and could result in future services being declined.

4. Cancellations & rescheduling

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the minimum visit rate to cover travel and time already booked out.

If I need to cancel or reschedule on my side (illness, parts delay, weather, vehicle breakdown) I will let you know as soon as possible and offer the earliest alternative slot at no extra cost.

5. Workmanship warranty

I stand behind the work I do. Repairs and fixes carry a 90-day workmanship warranty: if the same fault returns within that period and it is reasonable to attribute it to my work, I will put it right at no additional labour cost. Parts carry their own manufacturer warranty where applicable.

The warranty does not cover new faults, damage caused by misuse, further damage to the vehicle or equipment after I leave site, or issues arising from parts or advice supplied by someone other than me.

6. Vehicle inspections & MOT handling

Car health checks and pre-purchase inspections are visual and diagnostic checks based on the vehicle’s condition at the time of inspection. They are not a guarantee of future reliability. Any red flags are reported in writing along with any recommendations.

MOT bookings are made with trusted, independent MOT centres. I do not issue MOT certificates myself and I am not responsible for the outcome of the MOT test itself; I am responsible for picking up, dropping off, and reporting back the result.

7. Liability

I carry public liability insurance for the work I undertake. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost income, missed appointments, etc.) arising from delays or cancellations outside of my reasonable control.

8. Your information

How I handle your personal data is set out in full on the Privacy Policy. In short: I only collect what I need to do the job, I don’t sell it, and you can ask me to delete it at any time.

9. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date below.

10. Contact & disputes

If anything is unclear or you’re unhappy with the service, please get in touch first — most issues are easy to resolve quickly and fairly. You can reach me at hello@sam.espeezy.com or +44 7700 000000.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that we cannot resolve between us will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
